无聊的3D

　　最近我注意到身边越来越多的人逐渐站到了两个阵营里：一类人认为《阿凡达3D》是他们这辈子看到过的最了不起的电影，另一类人认为《阿凡达》无非是奇技淫巧，挺无聊。当然还有一类人，没有去看。

记者们大多数在抄袭吗？

这篇难得的好文章，通过分析从google news所集结的关于美国网站受黑客攻击的121篇英文报道，得出了很让人震惊的发现。其实在媒体工作久了，对大多数媒体的偷懒相当清楚，但是这篇文章好在有理有据，直截了当。

当然，还要注意：google news选取的标准（比如首选传统媒体的网站，而不太选纯网络媒体的报道），单个事件有不同的覆盖面所以不同媒体可能选取了不同面的报道等因素。后面的读者评论提出了这些因素，非常值得一看（看读者评论需要进入原文链接 http://www.niemanlab.org/2010/02/the-googlechina-hacking-case-how-many-news-outlets-do-the-original-reporting-on-a-big-story/）。

周五出版的《纽约时报》上有一篇关于奥巴马接受《南周》访问的报道（译言）。中国的纸媒、互联网门户，以及推特记者都在报道中被引用。本来一个很低调、政治正确的问答（在外交部和宣传部的朋陪同下进行），现在在升级成了一个国际新闻。最让人费解的是，《纽约时报》报道声称在北京驻扎的西方媒体，周四收到订阅的《南周》时，统统发现刊登奥问答的版面不翼而飞。这好比是~~董存瑞~~邱少云从草地里跳出来，通过扩音器高唱军歌，同时点亮整个足球场的聚光灯，打在自己身上，此刻在来一队飞机从他的头上飞过，释放出八尾巨大的箭头型的烟雾，直指这位战士的位置。嗒－嗒－嗒－嗒！

我衷心希望这是《纽约时报》再造谣。

Stroke of genius

If I have never mentioned before, one of the brands I admire is Rapha (Who cares ? I know!). Like Apple 10 years ago (or 20?), it has reached this cult status on both sides of the Atlantic but little influence anywhere else (except now you all know). Their brand image, positioning and general coherence is a case study for new entrepreneurs looking to create and capture a very niche and secure market.

Here is an interesting case in point. They showed the video below on their blog. It shows the British designer Paul Smith track-standing in his studio. The real intention is to use him as a mirror to reflect Rapha's own Britishness, style, and cred. While having Paul Smith endorsing Rapha, or create a limited edition jersey would be too passé, approving Paul Smith's track-standing skill is definitely cool no matter you are in Hackney or the Lower East Side (not to mention economical). The video isn't even made for Rapha, simply by quoting it and (by implication) paying a compliment to Paul Smith, Rapha managed to own it as its own advertising, a stroke of genius.

《环球时报》的英文网站被《金融时报》的Gideon Rachman拿来博客了一番。外国人搞不清楚这是什么报纸，代表谁的态度，我也不知道。可是在只有China Daily的局面下，很容易占外国人注意力份额的。有人常看《环球时报》的吗？
